Examples of use of John Dalton
1. Away from the Northern Quarter, on John Dalton Street, Panacea is one of those places that draws an A–list crowd – soap stars, footballers, and their hangers–on.
2. He said: "An appointment will be made for a 21–year–old man to attend a Greater Manchester Police station to be questioned in connection with an incident on John Dalton Street on Sunday October 15." He went on: "Shortly after 5.05am on October 15, police received a report that a man had been assaulted on John Dalton Street in Manchester city centre.
3. Wednesday July 31, 1844 The Guardian [Dr John Dalton was considered so well known that this death notice did not bother to give his Christian name.] Our venerable and venerated townsman – one of the greatest philosophers of his age and the father of the present race of chemical investigators and discoverers – is no more.
4. We know better, however, than to comment on the fact that the new solar–powered lights designed to illuminate Manchester city centre‘s bold venture into "continental chic" (25 trees planted in Bridge Street, John Dalton Street and Princess Street, in case you were wondering) have failed because "there isn‘t enough sun". What, finally, is former Met chief Lord Stevens playing at, agreeing to be a referee for Richard Barnes, would–be Tory candidate for London‘s mayor?
